CONFICKEERRRRR!

Due to the imminent threat to computers worldwide (except only in the United States and not for Linux and Mac users), the future of Sharpier Images tomorrow lies in uncertain waters. Indeed, these waters are full of worm-y sharks and virus fish, so if the HMS My Computer springs a leak, we will certainly drown/be horribly ripped apart by the techno seabeasts. However, we'll man the lifeboats as best we can, and hopefully a BRAND SPANKIN NEW, DOUBLE SIZED comic will be posted tomorrow morning. Til then, we can only sit and wait and whittle mini pirate ships out of bars of soap while the storm passes.

Avast,
The Dreadnought Sean

Thick and Juicy

Hey, Sharpies, Collin G here, co-founder of Sharpier Images. You may have been wondering who I am and what I do as a co-writer/artist. Well, nobody knows that. BUT I can tell you a little backstory about Sharpier Images (here on out abbreviated as SI).
FRESH FROM THE SI VAULT
Mid-winter, 2009. Collin G and Sean S, two goofy ne'er do 'ells share a study hall together. As Collin plays Pokemon by himself, Sean pulls out a pile of Sharpie markers and slowly starts drawing a cartoon from scratch. Collin looks over as Sean finishes. On a small piece of notebook paper is a drawing of a cute walrus. Underneath the walrus is the title, "LOLRUS". The 2 guys emit some giggles. Collin, thinking this is clever, shows it to some others in the room. Sean continues to draw a couple more pictures, and eventually, so does Collin. More students seem to enjoy the sketches, and Collin and Sean discuss the idea of sharing the drawings with the world! That afternoon, Collin launches a blog for the pictures- Sharpier Images. The name sticks, and now that the boys have the incentive of visitors around the world, they work double time. The idea of theme weeks is created by Sean, and that gives the two budding cartoonists a backbone for their art. Sean posts the images on the blog, and yells at Collin to keep up with the demand. Collin feels like he doesn't put enough effort into the project, so he posts a story on blog to explain the goof. And the rest is history being written as you read this!
Enjoy the site, and please come back and comment!

Theme Week #2: CEREAL MASCOTS!

SS: It's the first in a series of cereal-mascot themed comics this week! I've noticed that my art gets much better and refined if I have something like Toucan Sam and Shoop Da Woop to base it on.

Yes, We can do "arty" too...

SS: Some random landscape silhouettes. Reminds me of Dr. Seuss. Shows I have *some* sort of art talent.

Pokemon Theme Week is Over!

SS: As Pokemon Theme Week comes to a close, we pause to consider just what Sharpier Images is all about. Which is...really nothing. So today, we return to our random roots, and give you an assortment of rather unusual, random, and odd posts that defy explanation. Enjoy...

THE SNORLAX DIET PLAN! IT WORKS!

SS: I'd say that is probably the best Pokemon drawing I've ever made.

P.S. Next week is THEEM WEEK 2! With DUBBLE the comics!

Before there were Pokeballs...

SS: Failed versions of the Pokemon containment unit. Attempts to make a PokeIcosahedron resulted in a wormhole that destroyed half a city block. Many Japanese rock stars now use the Poketar for live performances.

Theme Week #1: POKEMON!

SS: Do you think the Pokemon really want to go into the PC, to be left there and forgotten for the rest of the game?

Two for Day Two!

SS: Yes, I know, I already posted today. But I just had to get these out. We made it to Day 2! Quick Backstory on these:
#1 We had a Beatles cover production recently, which was very packed, so from all the way in the back, this is what the show looked like.
#2 I'm a nerd.

SS: I figure I had better put this up before Watchmen becomes irrelevant and the ADD Nation finds a new fad to cling to.

SS: Hello and Greetings to all! And a Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! Yes, YOU! Today is the first in a hopefully long line of Sharpie creations from myself and my colleague, Mr. Collin. So here's the kickoff to the official Sharpier Images blog!
